Use the small screen for the search
Typing a long title with a television remote can be the least enjoyable part of movie night. Search TheFlixer on your phone or computer, open the title and check the year. Choose your country before comparing viewing options. Once you know the service and edition, open that service on your television or connected device.
A Smart TV, Roku device, console or streaming stick needs support from the actual playback service. A browser shortcut on a phone does not create a Roku channel or console application. Check the service’s device list when a title is available on your laptop but not on the screen you want to use.
Casting and screen mirroring are different
When an app offers a cast button, it may send playback directly to a compatible device. Mirroring instead repeats the phone’s display, and protected video may behave differently from ordinary webpages. Use the playback app’s supported method rather than assuming that a visible poster means the full video will mirror.
Before everyone sits down
Open the correct edition, confirm the audio language and select subtitles if needed. Check that captions are large enough from the viewing distance. Keep the remote nearby for the first scene so you can adjust volume without interrupting later. If the film is long, check the runtime before starting.
You can save a short list of choices in My List. For bringing that list to a second browser, use a backup rather than expecting the television to share the phone’s storage.
