Start with the right series
The Vampire Diaries, The Originals and Legacies have connected ideas and characters, but they have separate series pages. Similarly, the British and American editions of a format can have the same title. Check the production year and cast before using a season number from a recommendation.
Search with a chapter notation such as Young Sheldon S2E3. When that recorded chapter exists, the result leads to the corresponding place in the episode guide. You can also open a show normally and use its season links. The guide lists recorded episode names and dates, so later names may reveal developments you have not watched yet.
Save where you actually stopped
After finishing an episode, use the series page to save its season and episode as your last completed checkpoint. If you are halfway through an episode, the checkpoint is not a playback timestamp. Let the viewing service remember the minute, and keep the last fully completed chapter here.
Air date does not mean streaming arrival
Latest episodes are ordered by their recorded dates. A service may add a chapter later, split a season into parts or use different numbering for specials. Compare the episode name when numbers disagree. Do not assume a missing chapter is secretly filed under the next number.
